Choosing the right diamond!

I went to my jeweler today to pick up a ring I had them make for me and I was in awe of all of the beautiful diamonds in their store!  It had been a while since I was there and I forgot how fun it was to look at diamonds { what... say it ain't so! }.  There was a couple in there looking at engagement rings and they were asking some very good questions.  Do you know what to look for when choosing a diamond??  I went to http://www.bluenile.com to get the scoop so that I could post it for all of you.
... For most people, buying a diamond is a new experience, but that doesn't mean it should be overwhelming. Understanding a diamond's quality characteristics is straightforward and simple.
Blue Nile's diamond education is designed to answer all your questions. It explains a diamond's characteristics, how those characteristics influence appearance, and which are more important than others. WOW!  I am loving these wedding gowns from the Elie Saab 2010 collection.  Elie knows how to capture true romance in his designs!  Below are some of my favorites.

Here comes summer!

{Aloha Maui! Four Seasons Resort}

So summer is right around the corner and I know some of you are already planning your vacation.  Where is your favorite spot to escape to?!  Mine is Maui, Hawaii.  I've been vacationing there since I was in elementary school and it never gets old.
For us, it's all about relaxing on the beach with our favorite tasty beverage, a good book and of course an amazing view!

Who knew...

I signed up for a Twitter account not too long ago not really knowing what to expect. Come to find out, it has been a big help to me! I recently found a few very talented wedding vendors on Twitter and one of my brides has already booked two of them. I also plan on using one for a trash-the-dress session this summer. I look forward to meeting and working with many more amazing vendors. I'm sure I'll meet most of them via Twitter! Ahhhh technology.

I heart Paper & Thread!

I recently met with the oh-so-talented Lori from Paper & Thread. My November bride is having a tropical themed wedding at the Paradise Pointe Resort. I set up an appointment to have her meet with Lori to discuss ideas for her invitation suite as well as day of stationary pieces. I'm anxious to see the sample!

La Costa Resort and Spa

Life has been so busy lately! It's important to take some time for yourself to refresh. I do this by going to get a massage at La Costa Resort and Spa! I've been going there for years and I leave every time feeling like a brand new person. So relaxing! I spend the whole day there. Starting with spending time at the spa pool, a spa lunch and then treatment time. I highly recommend the hot stone massage. I get this one no matter where I go. Four Seasons Maui and recently at the MGM Spa {Las Vegas}

My husband is coming with me to La Costa. It will be nice to spend some alone time together. Even though we work together, we have long work days so it's important to us to spend quality time together on our off days. It's all about having a good, balanced life. So far, so good.

Pluggin' along...

I've been thinking of ideas for my November brides Tropical themed wedding. I found a cute idea for the escort cards. Now that we have some of the bigger items checked off the list, we can start focussing on the fun details. This weekend we're meeting with our brilliant invitation gal! She does hand-made invitations that are to die for! She will get ideas from my bride, put together a few samples and then make the final product. I love that she will be able to capture my couples style and personality, rather than just picking an invite from a book.

Our next stop this weekend is hunting for a bridal gown. My fave! Amanda has found a few dresses that she likes. We need to get going on this. They're wedding is 6 months away! Getting so excited.
